Reviews
My first impression was that this camping is somewhat dated and with not too much of an offering. At the end it was very adequate for our needs and we had a good time here with our kids of 1 and 4 years of age. The installations is somewhat of age, but generally working, hygienic spaces are kept clean and tidy. Staff is friendly, I get the impression the place is family driven. As you enter the camping, it is not huge, there are some spots with protection from wind and sun. Closer to the beach there is more attractive spots, but less protected to the weather. The camping have direct access to the beach and run a banja of it's own (deck chair is charged extra). Chioggia is a comfortable 30 minute walk away. There is no traffic noise. Saturday and Sunday there is a loud beach party at a nearby club, ending at midnight (free entrance). Main attraction for our kids is the playground at the beach, apart from beach itself. To us the main attraction is to have things within good range, at the same time a quiet spot.
Great, very friendly campsite.
The most important is that it is right on the beach. Umbrellas are free for campsite customers. Well-kept beach, very clean. On the beach bar and a huge playground for children. The campsite offers several pitches for campers. Very clean toilets and showers. The campsite also has a restaurant - we didn't use it, because the town of Chioggia is simply beautiful and we preferred to go out to dinner in the city. At the campsite you can rent a bike for free and take a trip to the city. We also recommend a great seafood and fish market open in the morning - we rode to it by bike. Very friendly service. I would recommend.
We stayed here with my family (parents, 12 y o and 16 y o siblings) and we loved it. We tried a couple other campings but this place was the best. It's a quiet, calm place. There was a loud party somewhere near the camping site but it wasn't loud enough to be annoying.
The bathrooms were always clean, as well as the camping site itself.
It has it's own restaurant, and it's really good. The food is good and the staff is nice - the only problem is that they don't really speak English.
The camp is a 20-30 minute walk from Chioggia, which is a beautiful place everyone should visit. And from there, you can go to Venice on a ship.
The place has it's own beach with good equipment and a playground for the kids. It's as calm as the place itself - we really liked staying there. The view is beautiful, it's animal friendly (a lot of people walked their dog on the beach) and it's quiet. There were some vendors if you walked down to the part that's not the camping's property.
There were also some carts that sold ice cream and fruit.
It's a nice place, family and animal friendly, and it's an excellent choice for those who don't like the noise and bustle of big cities.
We used camping al porto in the past for many years because of covid we missed a few years .these year wen back and we where surprised at the changes and improuvement, although we new the owner amazing and friendly people we thought the place could do with a bit of improvement the year it has happened I wish them all the best they deserve it for the good work
One of the best campings I've ever seen. Very clean and perfect conditions - free showers, refrigerator and bicycles! One of the greatest sand beaches with Blue flag. Perfect place to be with kids.
We visited Camping Al Porto with our camper in May 2015 on pretty tight budget so we were pleasantly surprised to find the early season prices well below our expectations (around 20 € for 2 persons including the car). The camping site …
Relatively small campsite compared tot others in Sotomarina. Facilities are clean and well equipped, prices are reasonable and include electricity and an umbrella on the beach, free bikes on offer for the short commute tot Chioggia center, staff is very friendly. The family running the camping can help you in French (the father) and English (the son). If you're a difficult sleeper je aware: the actual campground is quiet after 11pm (guests can't enter the camping by car after) but entertainment from the neighbouring camping Grande Italia in august is audible until late at night.
The restaurant caters to both beach guests as people staying on the campground and offers take away pizza at a discount. The beach is lovely although crowded and there's a nice little bar selling 3€ aperitivo. What do you want more?
Good located, access to a very nice beach and helpful staff. I liked being there.
